My name is Teresa Peratt and I am the new Program Manager at TLC Tallgrass.
I have been in the chemical dependency field since 2001, having worked at Keystone and Volunteers of America, previously. I believe my 25 years of “field experience” in active addiction is, finally, an asset in my recovery and my professional life. I am married to Pastor Al Peratt and we have been together since 1973. We have two wonderful grown children and we are enjoying our new empty nest phase very much.
I love getting up every morning because I know I will be blessed to interact with people who are actively working a program of recovery- staff and guests alike. I go home every night with a satisfaction of having lived a day in which lives are changed-mine included. If you have never been to Tallgrass, it is nestled on a beautifully landscaped 8-acre campus. Just driving up the tree-lined driveway, into an amazing morning sunrise makes me smile. To me, it feels like I am experiencing a spiritual retreat on a daily basis.
July marks the 6th year birthday since Tallgrass opened. I look forward to celebrating my employment anniversary and Tallgrass’ birthday every July for years to come.
