Planting the Tallgrass Alumni Garden

“We are people who normally would not mix. But there exists among us a fellowship, a friendliness, and an understanding which is indescribably wonderful.”

Welcome to the Tallgrass Recovery & Sober Living Homes Alumni Association Home page. We are a group of individuals that have found a new way of life through our shared journey of recovery. We believe that if you have had a Tallgrass experience, either at Tallgrass or at one of the Sober Living Homes, you belong.

The purpose of the Tallgrass Alumni Association is to provide opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth and ways to give back to others. As Tallgrass Alumni, we share a common beginning and experience and therefore have another aspect of our lives about which we can relate. We are here to support each other as we continue our journey on a life of sobriety and recovery.

“We absolutely insist on enjoying life.”

We are a fun bunch. As such, we plan plenty of time for fellowship. During the summer, we host bonfires at the TLC Tallgrass campus. We have the yearly Summer Sober event, which is a celebration of our recovery. In addition, there are opportunities to volunteer with guests as mentors, leading meetings, sharing our experience, strength and hope. We want our alumni to come back, check in and hang out. This was part of our experience while we were here and it is part of what made our time as guests so special. We want your help in creating and planning new opportunities.

If you are a Tallgrass alumni, whether you went through the campus for 30 days or lived in one of our sober living homes, and would like to be a part of some of the fun…give us a call. We would love to hear from you, fill you in what is going on and generally just have you feel part of the Tallgrass experience!
